Recipe: French Beurre blanc
Ingredients
- 2 steaks
- 1 large onion
- 1/4 cup of white vinegar
- 1 cup of red wine
- 1/2 cup butter
- salt and pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Slice and dice the onion.
Step 2
Season steaks with salt and pepper. Add oil in a pan over med-high heat.Put the steaks into the pan. Sear for 5 minutes per side to medium rare.
Step 3
Remove the steaks from the pan. Put them into a serving plate. Turn the heat down to low. Add 2 spoon butter and the diced onion to the pan.Cook for 5 minutes on low heat. Stir constantly.
Step 4
Add the vinegar, stir constantly. Cook for about 2 minutes. Pour in the red wine,turn the heat to med-high. Reduce the sauce by half.
Step 5
Then add the remaining butter. Stir constantly. Add some salt.Stir well. when the sauce gets thicken, Pour it down to the steak plate.
