Ingredients
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 ripe plantains (peel should be mostly black)
- salt to taste
- lime wedges, optional
Instructions
Step 1
Use a knife to take off the ends and peel of the plantains. Cut the plantains into half inch pieces in 45 degree angle.
Step 2
In a heavy duty non stick saute pan over medium high heat, add 1/4 cup vegetable oil. When the oil is hot, add the plantain pieces. Cook until golden brown, it takes 4-6 minutes per side. When the oil is sizzling, turn the heat to medium.
Step 3
Served with rice, squeeze the juice of lime on it.
