Recipe: Deep Fried Crab Rangoon

Ingredients

  • Filling:
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 8 ounces fresh crab meat
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1 large clove garlic, finely minced
  • 2 teaspoons ginger, finely minced
  • others:
  • 1 package wonton wrappers
  • 1 small bowl filled with water for wetting wontons
  • Oil for deep-frying

Instructions

Step 1

Mix together all ingredients for filling except crab meat.

Step 2

Gently fold in crab meat.

Step 3

Place a heaping teaspoon of filling into a wonton wrapper and fold into a diamond shape.

Step 4

Deep fry at 375 degrees until golden brown.

Step 5

Serve hot with hot mustard or sweet and sour sauce
